PCOS

Well I told you I would fill you in on my pregression on the "trying to have a baby" project.

I recently went to the OBGYN and they did some blood work, an ultrasound, and an exam.

Well... it is confirmed that I do have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
If you would like to know more about it check out this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polycystic_ovarian_syndrome

So... thats why Simon and I haven't been able to get pregnant. We do have medicine now so that is where we are.

We are leaving this up to when it is meant to be. If I get pregnant during school- its our time. We will deal with anything that may come our way.

Who knows where this will lead!

We will see.

arachnophobia

ARACHNOPHOBIA

If we look in the dictionary we find the definition is...

arachnophobia- n. An abnormal fear of spiders.

If you grew up in my household you were to believe you would find my moms picture under the word. Yes I may be afraid of spiders... But my mom takes the cake. I have never met someone so terrified of spiders.

Growing up we use to tease my mom about it... She use to dream that there were spiders all in her bed. My dad would then have to wake up and pretend to kill these "spiders", and would have to continue to do so until she believed they were all gone.
I have to admit, when I was younger I found it quite hilarious...

Until last night!

I do believe I may be turning into my mom...

So there I was.... sleeping in my bed... it is 3:30ish and I suddenly sit up in bed... SCREAM!!!!

Simon awakes... to find me freaking out thinking that I had seen a black spider crawling in my bed.

I remember my dream and I hit/threw the spider off of the bed.

I then stand up... in our pitch dark room, and start shaking out clothes and whatever else is on the floor.

At this time Simon gets out of bed and starts shaking out pillows and what not. I am not sure if he knew I was dreaming or if he believed me that a spider was really in bed.

regardless... he was sweet and then said... "Christy, I don't think there is a spider."

I say... "oh, ok!" and go back to sleep!

WHAT THE?!?!

Wouldn't you think I would be too scared to go back to sleep? Go figure.... It was a crazy night.

Anyways.... I found it quite interesting... wonder what a spider in your bed dream means???

I guess I am turning into my mother and reaping what I sowed.

This is NOT Dawg country.... its Monday!

I have NOT FINALLY got all of my school stuff together... I think.

Every time I turn around and believe to have completed the next step towards school, I do NOT feel as though I have taken 2 steps backwards. I have NOT been super stressed the pass couple of weeks.

I am going into I guess what would be my Junior year. I will NOT hopefully be graduating in December 2011; I need 4o more hours which is 14 more classes. A break down of...
Fall 2010- 3 classes
Spring 2011- 4 classes
Summer 2011- 3 classes
Fall 2011- 4 classes.
I know this sounds easy but I have never been good at juggling many classes while I work. I can in no way quit my job... I will NOT need to pay back my student loans.

I did NOT recieve my student loan this week... woohoo. My payment does NOT need to be made by this Friday, which does NOT freak me out about not getting the money in the account fast enough. I will have a YES! Positive Attitude and know that everything will work out.

Today I did NOT get notice that I have received my parking permit which was NOT stressful. Nothing is worse than riding Athens Public Transportation to get to and from school... and then get to work afterward. I am NOT thankful to finally have everything falling into place.

Oh yeah- and my school did NOT just get announced as #1 Party School in the Nation from the Princeton Review. CRAZY!!!! Simon has NOT informed that I WILL be carrying pepper-spray at all times now on campus to protect myself from crazy party-boys. =)

I am NOT thankful to 2 people in my life who have been there helping me with all of my school stuff: Lily (cousin) and Cheryl (Sis-in-law).

Lily has been helping me out with knowledge of UGA payments since we are now going to the same school. I am NOT looking forward to going to a UGA football game with her and Simon and David. I do NOT see "Good Times" in the future.

(my mom and I back in 2007 at one of the first UGA Football Games!)

Cheryl has been helpful in the stress relief area. I can talk to her about money and finances and she has been a great help getting me to see the positive in everything.

I am NOT happy to see my relationships with friends and family getting stronger and positive! Prayer is a strong force!!!!

All in all, I am NOT looking forward to going back to school, although I know the minute I have my first paper, first exam, and first oral presentation my blog may have a different tone!!! lol

I can NOT hear the sound of the crowd at the football games...
"Georgia Bulldogs, Georgia Bulldogs, Georgia Bulldogs....
G-E-O-R-G-I-A..... GOOOOOOOOOOOOO DAWGS.... SICK' EM!!!! WOOT WOOT WOOT!!!"

Where'd the summer go?!

Wow- my last post was back on my birthday... its been a while.

For some reason I thought blogging would be so much easier in the Summer... but I was wrong.

I seem to be much much much more busier.

Since the last post I...

1. Went on my family beach vacation to panama city beach.
(Pictures coming soon)

2. Got re-accepted into UGA.

3. Registered for classes and realized how expensive college is going to be. (Its been very stressful for Simon and I)

4. We FINALLY have insurance... YAY!!!! And I have an appointment next week with an obgyn to get everything figured out.

5. Had a wonderful 4th of July with my family!

6. Started planning Stacy's (my best friend) bridal shower and got my bridesmaid dress in.

7. I am running 2.25 miles this week and next week and increasing .75 miles every 2 weeks. By the time the Mud Run gets here in September I will hopefully be running 5.25 miles.

8. Simon and I started the P90x workout- which is a LOT harder than I thought it was but we both are feeling better about ourselves and our future.

9. Simon and I sat down and figured out our 2 year plan:
* Debt free by Christmas 2011- except for my schooling.
* Hopefully graduating in Dec. 2011 or May 2012

10. Simon has a test with Dekalb Fire Dept. on Friday and hopefully he can move on and eventually get his dream job. Which will put him through paramedic school too.

So.... as you can see its been CRAZY in the McCullough household. SUPER BUSY!!!!!

Crossing my fingers I will be better at blogging in the future! =)

Memorial Day to remember!

As I opened my eyes Monday Morning at 6 am I thought to myself... "What have I gotten myself into?"

(I look so tired... and this is before the race!)

I get ready for my Memorial Day Celebration and it is Thundering and Lightning... not a good sign for what I had planned for the day!

I am VERY VERY VERY proud of myself. I find that I am saying that a lot about myself lately, and it feels very good. I Ran my first 5K in Dacula, GA... and it was not too bad.

I ran it with Some of Simons family. His Uncle Timmy runs ALL the time, in every race, and in any weather; We kept teasing him for his autograph since he knows tons of people who run and most of the time places in top 10.

(L-R: Jay, Tanya, Me, Trav, Gina, Jordan, Timmy)

I must say I am NOT a runner, I have only been training since March for this Mud Run in September (A 4.8 mile run in the mud with Obstacles with a team of 4 :Tanya, Gina, Lily, and Myself are on team "Medic Please" lol).

I finished the race in 35:12:5 minutes (a little over 11 minutes a mile), and placed #395 overall out of 506 runners, obviously not the best but I DID IT!!!! What a great feeling... And I got a Race t-shirt to prove it!

(Even though it was 2 sizes too big.... you better believe I will still wear it!!!)

After the race I went to my parentals neighborhood Memorial Day pool party. I hung out with Jennifer (sis-in-law) all day at the pool... such a fun time. She makes me laugh!

After, I went to the Gwinnett Braves Game with Simon, his parents, and Olivia and her boyfriend Kyle.

(Olivia & Kyle)

(Gina & I in our Race Shirts)

Our friend Brandon that plays in AAA for the Pirates team was playing. We always try and go to his games, he and Simon are still good friends. its really cool to say I know someone who use to play Pro ball.
The game eventually got rained out... =(... but before it did, Brandon hit a HOMERUN at his first at bat on his first pitch! Way to go B!!!!

We got our tickets switched from the rained out game to Thursday, it should be fun!!!

What a GREAT Memorial Day!!!!

Awesome Aunt Christy

Today was a FUN day!!!! I got to spend the entire day with my sweet Nephew, Dylan. This 2 year old steals my heart.

I I told Dylan we were going to the park... so he was pretending to drive us there!!!

Looking for "Aunt Christy" threw the tunnel.

He would yell.. "CHRISTY!" across the park. I had to explain to moms there- "I am the Aunt!" I am not a mom that allows my child to call me by my name. lol

What a cutie pie!!!

"slide, slide slide" - this is all I heard for HOURS!!!

This is the cutest picture ever!!!

Yes- the park would not be fun without playing in the gravel and dirt. He is ALL boy!!!

What a gorgeous day to be at the park!

I absolutley LOVED our afternoon at the Park!!!

I must be Super-Aunt!!! Not only did we go to the park... but he got a Happy Meal too!!!
He is such a ham... he would not eat his fries without ketchup! So sweet!

I LOVE being an Aunt and having days to spoil him rotten.
I cant wait to do it again!!!

almost 25.... and I CAN do it!!!

And they thought I couldn't do it!!!!

Bwahahahaha!!!

Yes- I am 25 years old (well, in a month) and I am doing an AERIAL at work.

For those who are not sure what that is.... Its a NO handed cartwheel!!!

I ran from the left and off the springboard landed my aerial EVERY TIME I threw it.

I am very proud of myself!!!!!

Foxy Girl

My dog Foxy is my baby.

Simon got her for my Christmas present the first year we got married.

She is my heart.

Whoever thinks a dog is just a dog, has never experienced the love a dog can bring into their life.

Foxy is my best friend.

She is the sweetest most loving dog I have ever had.

She makes me feel important and loved.

She gets so excited when I come home from work.

She sleeps in the bed as close as she can as if she is snuggling to show love.

She gives kisses, likes to play, and consoles me if I am upset.

I do not know what I would if anything ever happened to her.

Yesterday morning I woke up and was getting ready for work. Foxy looked at me a threw up. Okay, I know this sounds gross, but I instantly got really scared. For the puke was dark brown and had blood in it. NOT a good sign. She also had leaves in it.

I put 2 and 2 together, and realized she has been eating some sort of plant. Of course I freaked out and was late to work. After work I debated on taking her to the vet. I waited a couple of hours and saw that her stomache was black and blue, she was bruised. At the vets office we realized that she had ingested a plant that is toxic to dogs... well apparently she ate my mother-in-laws plant, and she informed me that ALOT of the plant was missing.

I was so scared... more like hysterical. I know some non-animal-lovers are rolling their eyes, but I dont have kids. She IS my child and I love her.

The vet made her stay overnight and pumped her full of charcoal. We picked her up this morning and the vet said she is going to be okay. We have her on medication and I will continue to pray for a full recovery.

I love my Foxy Girl.

Man, its been crazy...

I can not believe that I have not blogged in such a long time. Life has been crazy and I just havent managed to have the time. So today I am going to catch everyone up on what has been going on in my life.

Simon unfortunately put LOTS of money into his broken truck... nobody seemed to figure out what was wrong with it. So... We have a NEW (well its used, but new to us) truck. It is so nice that Simon can have a good truck. He seems so happy. Its 2006 Dodge Ram 4 door truck, in blue. I am excited.

I went with my sister-in-law (Olivia, 17) to a concert where the guitarist has caught her eye. He is a very nice guy and he really likes her too. I am very proud of the person she has become and she has become one of my best friends. After the concert we laid in her bed and talked and laughed... I felt as though I was in high school again. Every night now we talk about our day and encourage each other to be the best we can be. I am glad she realized that their are many other guys out there, outside of high school, that she would move on from her ex-boyfriend and date other guys. Kyle is so nice and I am glad she is happy about dating him. Hes cute too! I give 2 thumbs up to Liv!!! =)

I have been SUPER busy at work. We are having our "show week" next week and trying to get the kids to remember their routines gets crazy. These past 18 weeks come down to next weeks shows to prove the parents that their kids are awesome and we are good at what we do. It gets stressful.

Due to the importance of "show week" I was unable to make it to Simon's family Summer Beach vacation. I was HIGHLY annoyed that work would not let me off, sad and disapponited that not only have I NEVER missed a family beach vacation since Simon and I have been engaged, but they went back to the FABULOUS St. George Island beach house. One of the funnest parts of the Locke vacations are the FUN family challenge games. They are a blast and I look forward to them all year. I guess I will be waiting another year.

Since I was unable to go to the beach with the Locke Clan I have, as I previously blogged, been planning my family Hnath beach vacation. I too am making a family challenge game. Although they are NEVER as much fun since my family think things are "not fair", and they don't listen and expect for me to make it easy. Sometimes I feel like giving up but afterward they say the games are fun. So right now, I am planning some games and hopefully, fingers crossed, they will be enjoyed.

Mothers Day came and went, I created my mom, and both my grandmas cute cards fromm shutterfly.com, thanks to my sister in law telling about their free cards. They loved the cards and I felt great. I boohoo-ed like a baby during the church service when they sang "Did you ever know that your my hero" and played a very sentimental mothers day video. My grandma kept saying "its ok, maybe you can celebrate mothers day next year." Although I know she was only trying to make me feel better, I felt horrible and got even more emotional. Dinners with my family on Mothers Day and Fathers day really stink for Simon and I as we are the only ones not getting gifts and not talking about our "kids" and they ALWAYS tell us "maybe next year." As we try we get more and more discouraged, especially as this is the 2nd mothers day we have been trying. Its an emotional subject.

Talking about babies, Simon finally gets our health insurance sometime during June and I will then FINALLY be able to go to the doctors and find out what the heck is wrong with my body. the more I research the more I fear that I have what is called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome... all the systems I read point straight to me. I will continue to pray and try our best, and hopefully we will figure this all out in upcoming months.

My best friend Stacy is engaged!!! YAY!!! I am so excited for her and Paul. They have dated since High School and I am happy for them. I am going to meet her today to try on bridesmaids dresses, her color is a purple. Its going to be so nice, the date is either going to be Sept. 18 or Sept. 25. That is right around the corner... I have to start planning showers and bachelorette parties... I have a lot to keep my brain occupied.

Well, that is about all that has been going on since I last blogged.

I will try and keep you more informed more often!!! =)

ANTICIPATION!!!!

Simons entire family is leaving for the beach in 10 days... I was completely devastated that I would not be able to go. I LOVE the family vacation and especially the beautiful house that they are going to be staying in.

Since I am not able to go to the beach next weekend... I became determined to figure out my summer vacation plans.

The last week of May... My mom and I are going to go to Disney World as a girls trip. I am so excited. This is going to be so much fun!!!

June 19th-26th my family (mom, dad, Andrew, Jennifer, Dylan, and Nanny Hnath) are going to Panama City Beach. It has been 2 years since the entire family has gone on vacation and I am so pumped. Unfortunately, Simon doesnt think he can take time off yet at his new job and will not be able to make it.

I starting thinking of my old bathing suits.... I think its time for new ones. I hear the stores calling my name!

I was also talking to Simon about him not being able to go on vacation this year, we decided that we will either go to the beach again in August for his birthday or go somewhere in November for our 5 year wedding anniversary!

Man- these trips will be here before we know it... i better keep running and going to the gym. It will be bikini season within days!!! Once these trips pass, we will be getting ready for football season, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and even Christmas. 2010 will be over before we know it!

Here Simon and I are now... But we were not always married.
Today- April 19, 2010 marks the anniversary of our first date.

Lets take a stroll down memory lane!

Simon and I met on the school bus of my sophomore year, his junior. The year was 2000.
I remember not knowing anyone else was on the bus. We were in our own little world.

We were friends throughout highschool and finally we had our first date in my junior year, his senior.
It was April 19, 2002 and its was Simons Senior Skip Day.
Our friend Ben and Simon asked myself and our friend Summer to go to Stone Mountain Park with them.... so we did.

Afterward I asked Simon if he wanted to do anything later that night.... yup- thats right, I asked Simon technically on our first date.

I remember he picked me up in his awesome Jeep and we went to Briscoe Park to walk and talk.

We then went to the waterfall Simon had found in a neighborhood where we looked at stars.
This was where and when we shared our first kiss.

It wasn't until later that we noticed that we never ate dinner. Simon admitted later on... that he was too nervous to be on a date with me that he complete forgot to feed me.

Now that I know Simon.... its a BIG deal that he forgot to eat! hahaha

Simon and I dated from then on. We went to our proms together, vacationed together, we pretty much were inseparable!

2 years later on April 19, 2004 Simon and I got engaged.
He recreated our first date: He took me to Stone Mountain for a picnic. We walked at Briscoe Park and we went to look at stars in our special spot.

I am so lucky to have Simon in my life.
Although being married is not easy- there is no else I could imagine being with!

Here are a few pictures I have found of Simon and I when we were dating...

We are at a pizza place for our friends Brittany's birthday. Soon after our first date.

This is Simons Senior prom and my Junior Prom. He wore a blue tux and his friend Ben wore orange. We were Dumb and Dumber!!! What a crazy day!

At the beach in California with our feet in the Pacific Ocean!!!

Playing Putt-putt in Panama City Beach 2 months after we got engaged!

Simon cheering me on while I am cheering in one of my final home football games my senior year.

Simon and I eating at The Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood California.

And here we are.... this was Christmas 2009.
We are still just as in love as we were 8 years ago today.
We have no children but our dog is like our baby!
We enjoy all of our days together.
Not many families can say they were able to be together 8 years and have NO kids.
We are blessed to have this strong of a bond.

I Love You Simon!!!!

ticket secret...shhh

I am a Sports-Fanatic!

As you know I LOVE going to the Braves Games!

I am going to share with you my SECRET on those very great Braves Tickets so that You and Yours can go and enjoy the games as well.

ONE WORD:

SMARTCIRCLE

"The Sports Package Offer Worth $300.00"

Here is my braves tickets package that I bought.

Here is how it works...

I have 4 FREE tickets and 6 Buy ONE get ONE FREE tickets.
(So if Simon and I go together to the games... we can go to 2 free games together and 6 other games for the price of one.)

They are good for ANY games this season except the All-Star game...
AND...
They are good for any seats ranging from $18 seats to $38 seats.
I buy these every year... it only cost $40.00

(If you did not do the math...
you can sit in 1 seat for the price of this entire package with many more games to spare...
it paid for itself in 1 free visit!!!!

BRAVES home opener

WOOHOO!!!!!!!

Baseball Season has arrived... and it couldn't get any better than the home opener!!!!

Monday after work my friends and I went to the game... Atlanta Braves vs. Chicago Cubs.

The minute we got inside of the ballpark you could feel the energy of all the excited fans.

With it being Bobby Cox's final season to coach you could imagine the feeling of the crowd being his last home opener!!!

(Timmy and I)

WE got the cheaper $10.00 tickets at the top of the stadium... but believe it or not the seats were not bad.

I could see everything.

The only thing that would have made it better would have been able to sit in the shade.

It was 89 degrees and sitting in the sun with NO breeze- it was freaking HOT!!!!
(my legs and arms were RED!)

Unfortunately, Simon had to work and was unable to make it to the game. He was SO jealous!!!

We have a new player on the Braves, Jason Heyward... he was incredible!

His first time up to bat in his major league career he hits a homerun! It was awesome.

Next up... Brian McCann hits a homerun... The braves were on it!

I looked up during the game and I could see McCann's Cans.
.

If you read my blog from my weekend in Chattanooga where we met these guys from Canton... well, thats them! They are McCann's Cans- it was crazy to see them again only 2 sections over.

The Sun began to set and it was not as miserably hot as before and it was time to go.

The Final Score:

Braves 16 / Cubs 5

I am so excited about the Season... I LOVE the Braves games.

(Jamie, Me, Cheri, Andrew)

Simon and I already bought our tickets to the FINAL home game of the season... Bobby Cox's FINAL game to coach at Turner Field!!!
I CANT WAIT!!!!

You can catch me in front of the tv or up at the games all summer cheering on the Braves.

Here's to a fabulous sport, a fabulous game, and fabulous fans!

GOOOOOOOOOOO BRAVES!!!!!
